Partnership Opportunities

Fareed’s early career at DuPont gave him a unique perspective on how water and energy security are interlinked. As the global leader for DuPont’s water desalination business, Fareed developed a deep understanding of the water and energy challenges facing many communities around the world. This unique perspective enabled him to become a strong advocate for privatization and integration of Gas, Power and Water infrastructure to improve capital and energy efficiency in the early 90’s.

Then came the opportunity in 2001 to join Conoco in Houston to lead one of the first major integrated energy and water projects in the world, ‘the Saudi Gas Initiative’. Following the merger of Conoco and Phillips Petroleum in 2002, Fareed’s focus shifted to derisking the many water-related challenges facing the company’s upstream and downstream operations. He led the company’s efforts to develop the first comprehensive water sustainability strategy in the oil & gas industry including the establishment of the company’s global Water Sustainability Technology Center in Qatar.

In 2005, Fareed played a critical role in developing and executing the company’s strategic growth plan for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and later moved to Qatar and then Abu Dhabi as the Vice President for Business Development for the region. His efforts led to the successful partnership with Qatar Energy for Qatar Gas 3 ‘LNG JV’ and a major joint venture with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company ‘ADNOC’ for the development of one the largest sour gas projects in the world.

In 2013, Fareed joined Mr. Samer Younis, founder of Quantum Management Advisory (“QMa”), in their quest to build an integrated project development and execution platform focused on the growing energy infrastructure opportunities in Europe and Middle East. QMa has since been engaged in several strategic initiatives, including a pioneering alternative fuels venture aimed at replacing coal.

In 2025, QMa’s efforts led to the establishment of Quantum Energy Holding (“Qe8”) to fully leverage its project development and execution capabilities. As Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer, Fareed believes that Qe8 is uniquely positioned to deliver integrated and “Sustainable” infrastructure solutions addressing many of the challenges facing National and International Energy companies in the Middle East. He sees strong opportunities for Qe8 to partner with these companies in deploying new technologies/solutions, upgrading the existing energy infrastructure, and building a new highly efficient one to meet their evolving needs as they seek to sustain production from their mature conventional resources while developing increasingly complex unconventional energy resources.
